We told you in the last newsletter about Connor Allen joining the St Johns
Ambulance Service. Since then Connor has taken part in a parade at Iminjin Barracks.
The parade took place on 10th April and was to give out awards for the St Johns
Ambulance leaders along with individual awards—the picture opposite is Connor at
We all think of St Johns Ambulance service as just being about First Aid however
Connor has learnt about the homeless, joined in with animal welfare, is about to
take part in learning about self defence, doing a 2 mile walk challenge on the 18th
June and going to camp in July.
St Johns Ambulance is based in St Marks Methodist Church, Gloucester Road every Wednesday
at 7pm and only costs £2 per session. They do loads of fun stuff too, at Easter
they had a party and they have a games and pizza night coming up soon too.
Joining St Johns has boosted Connors self esteem and confidence. Well done Connor—we
hope you continue to grow in confidence and continue enjoying all the activities
that are on offer.
